Stockholm up and coming alt-pop duo Vola Tila announce the release of their debut EP with introspective and dreamy single “New Behaviour”.
Comprising of Johannes Henriksson and Richard Andersson, Vola Tila draw inspiration from the 70s, 80s and DIY bedroom pop aesthetic to craft songs that sound both infectious and emotional. A real cross-over project, their upcoming debut EP was recorded in collaboration with none others than Sonic Boom (MGMT, Panda Bear, Spacemen 3) and Swedish producer Charlie Storm (Håkan Hellström)
About the birth of this music project, Johannes recounts; “I said to Richard, ‘I will make music for the rest of my life or I might as well kill myself. I’m not gonna spend my life on anything other than music.’ And he told me that he shared the same obsession for music. And it was the first time both of us met someone like that. Since then we’ve spent almost every day together in the studio.”
Although light and bright at first, the first single “New Behaviour” actually documents a personality apocalypse. Listen below and stay tuned for more Vola Tila music.
