New: School of X – “Destiny”

School of X Destiny by Fryd Fydendahl

Copenhagen-based singer-songwriter Rasmus Littauer aka School Of X returns enchanting new single “Destiny”.

Last month, School of X, the music project of Copenhagen-based artist Rasmus Littauer, returned after a 2-year hiatus with a live video of “I’ll Never Be Ready To Die“. The artist, who is inspired by the Danish anti-establishment arts collective Eks-skolen (X School), has now released a proper official single, and it’s an enchanting one.

The title track from his new EP, to be released on November 15, “Destiny” was mixed by the Grammy award-winning Chris Tabron (Beyoncé, The Strokes, Erykah Badu) and mastered by Dave Kutch (Whitney Houston, Outkast).  Inspired from the end of a relationship, it features bright guitar, woodwind solos and, of course, the amazing and captivating vocals of Littauer. About the track, he explained:

It’s the title track of my EP because I think it’s a song with a very particular composition and instrumentation. It’s about how your choices in life have consequences and that you are forced to make decisions if you want to live. It is about the irony of fate, how you choose with your heart and how your choice lets you down. The lyrics describes how you childishly stay in a relationship because it’s hard to take the right, but in the end inevitable choice of ending it.
